As Compass’ first designer in the Austin market, I was tasked with introducing our brand to a large and diverse group of clients and turning them in to brand champions of the Compass system. Our team emphasized early education on the value of design, personal brand, and national brand to create a base-level understanding of what we do and how, by working together, we can make their business stronger. We worked with hundreds of individual clients to create unique identities for their businesses under the Compass system, introduced holistic branding processes to high-touch clients, and—most importantly—talked to people about how design can help them.
